Anechoic Chambers
The growing need for many companies to develop and/or certify products, such as household white goods, engines, equipment and machinery for various purposes, has created the need to be able to conduct tests in controlled and repeatable acoustic conditions. ISOLCOMIT, which has been operating for more than 20 years in the industrial and civil acoustic remediation sector, has developed its own exclusive method for constructing anechoic and semi-anechoic rooms assuring a very high performance, the interiors of which assure the ideal physical and acoustic conditions for taking noise measurements.
These rooms are made-to-measure, based on the dimensions of the pieces to test and the characteristics of the sound signals to generate or screen.
They are made of fully disassemblable, painted steel structural elements. The inside surface is covered completely with a “forest” of fiberglass or rock wool wedges, coated with a dust-proof fabric.
They can be fitted with doors and windows, and with cable ducts and piping, and ventilation systems, all designed and manufactured to meet the maximum performance requirements.
Acoustic characteristics:
- attenuation in excess of: 30 dB at 100 Hz.
- cutting frequency: 100 Hz as standard, others on request.
- natural frequency of suspension system: from 3 Hz.
Reference standards: ISO 3740 series.
